I’m a Baton Rouge native, went to school at LSU and moved to Oxnard in 1987. All these years, I didn’t really follow football. Heck, I didn’t LIKE football. The Saints after Katrina gave me a reason to watch football. The team helped me feel connected, helped me root for my home state. The 2009 season gave me a reason not only to watch football, but to LIKE watching. I ordered Saints Mardi Gras beads (even gave some to Pat and Pete Spink!). I’m sorry you’re no longer with the Saints, but I’m proud to say you’re from Ventura County!!! Thanks, Scott, for all your charity work for my home state and for being a part of something special to Louisianaians. Jennie Montgomery
